One of the best ads I've seen using Star Wars IP, this Currys PC World effort raises the bar with some great soundtrack/sfx selections and clever parody scenes (opening the store, robot hoover, flashgun etc).

Perfume Commercials
Some think they're pretentious, some think they're a total waste of money; I however, love a good perfume TV ad. There's a quality contained within them I find absolutely fascinating.
Usual ingredients include a maverick director, model or celebrity, highly considered lighting, carefully chosen soundtrack and a sort of very very short film narrative; usually surrealist or mythology based in nature.
I imagine the brief for such a job to be along the lines of..."okay, we're selling a small bottle of nice smelling liquid. Make the ad big, artistic, extremely pretty, contain some sort of story, sound amazing and by the way, money is no object".
Here's a gorgeous example of such an ad by music director Chris Cunningham (who directed the Aphex Twin 'Come To Daddy' video). It has all the elements I seek in a good perfume TV commercial. Might sound strange, but there's something about this one that I adore! Anyway see what you think, and check out the final few seconds with the dress kaleidoscope.
