How Music Works

Caught this on the BBC a few years back and was hooked. Essential viewing for anybody interested in musical theory and structures, these Howard Goodall documentaries also showcase how actually, music arrangement can be traced back and linked very closely to modern day variants. Below is part one of the melody episode but you'll find most of the series on YouTube.

North Norfolk Coast

Just back from a few days away at Deepdale Farm. Max relax up at North Norfolk in a small tent, searching out pubs during the day along some of the best coastline in the country. Other than being a bit cramped in my faux canvas habitat, it was all very enjoyable and I've returned feeling fresh and like I will never eat another crab again.

Here are a couple of pictures taken during my stay. The obligatory car shot, taken from my tent; and an image of a boat taken whilst walking along the coastal path in search of the Lifeboat Inn (sorry for the ridiculous walk Becky - we never did make it there did we).
